Youth Activist Kasmuel McOure has revealed plans to mobilise support for President William Ruto in the 2027 General Elections through the Broad Based Youth Front.

Kasmuel, who likened the new faction to YK92 noted their immediate priority is advancing the youth agenda within the Broad Based Government.
According to him, through disciplined organisation, collaboration across youth leagues, and pre-election initiatives, the reincatated YK92 aims to shape governance and participate meaningfully in forming the next government.
On 16th December through a post on X, Kasmuel revealed he was the public face and leader of the coalition of 64 organisations that organised the 2024 protests, saying he walked away when it became clear that a section of that ecosystem was not interested in effecting political change, but in sustaining the status quo through a carefully choreographed culture of protest.
Kasmuel blamed his smear campaign after the exit to political choices such as supporting Gachagua”s impeachment, joining ODM, and engaging openly with President William Ruto.
“I have consistently called for an audit of the organisations that formed that protest coalition. Each time I raise the question of accountability, the attacks subside”, he wrote.
On 15th December 2025, Kasmuel met UDA National Youth Congress leader Brian Kipkorir at Hustler Plaza to discuss a coordinated approach to youth organisation under the Broad Based arrangement.
“Our discussion focused on consolidating young people across participating parties, strengthening internal cohesion, and developing a shared framework before expanding outreach nationally”, he noted.
Kasmuel maintains that they will lobby the government for youth affairs directly, through the Broad Based Youth Front.
“I will not take direction from any politician who was not with me on the streets last year regarding the Broad Based Government. Their popularity or political status notwithstanding. We are in this Broad Based Government until it fully delivers its mandate, and we will own it to the very end”, he highlighted.
During the launch of the Broad Based Youth Front on 9th December, Kasmuel urged young Kenyans, especially Gen-Z, not be shamed out of owning the government or demanding more from it, adding they will work with every leader, especially those within President Ruto’s administration, because public responsibility rests with those who hold office.
“Our generation became the fulcrum upon which the arc of Kenya’s governance shifted, even as others, now suddenly eloquent, observed from the comfort of the sidelines. This is why I reject the sanctimony of mandarins and performative activists, including some within our own ODM structures” he said.
“They cannot fathom the magnitude of what we achieved in June 2024. They did not inhale the tear gas, bear the bruises, or shoulder the responsibility that fell upon our generation. They criticise the Broad Based Arrangement without admitting that it exists because young people forced the country to reimagine its future”
He promised to reach out to the youth leagues across the Broad Based formation, to secure a sustained audience with party leaders and present the youth blueprint necessary to make Kenya succeed.
