Ole Kenta named Jubilee Party SG as Kioni becomes deputy Party leader in major party reorganization

Date:

The Jubilee Party has reorganized its top leadership in efforts to strengthen the outfit ahead of next year’s general elections.

Jubilee party makes leadership changes

Former Narok North MP Richard Ole Kenta has been named Jubilee party new Secretary General with Jeremiah Kioni moved to Deputy Party leader post, in charge of Operations, alongside Fred Matiang’i, the party’s 2027 Presidential flagbearer.

The deputy party leader roles have been adjusted to two, edging out outgoing Deputy party leaders Beatrice Gambo, Kados Muiruri and Joseph Manje who were in charge of Strategy, Operations and Outreach respectively.

Kioni will work on strengthening party structures, ensuring compliance with party processes, coordinating operations from grassroots to the national level and leading the party’s alliance building with key political and societal stakeholders.

Former Narok North MP Richard Ole Kenta replaces Kioni as the new Secretary General while former Chief Administrative Secretary Zack Kinuthia takes over as the Deputy Secretary General, replacing Yassin Noor who has been reappointed as the National Organizing secretary, previously held by Abdulkadir Haji.

Ex-West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi Mogaka takes over as the Jubilee National Chairperson from Saitoti Torome who will head Jubilee Foundation (Public Policy).

Former Murang’a Senator Kembi Gitura who previously served as the Chairperson of the Communications Authority, Kenya Medical Supplies Authority and Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital has been named the new Director of Elections, a position that fell vacant after resignation of Kanini Kega, now MP at East African Legislative Assembly.

Dan Mwangi replaces Wambui Gichuru as the Party’s Executive Director. The National Treasurer’s post currently held by Kagwe Gichohi remains unchanged.

“These changes reflect a deliberate shift towards rebuilding a disciplined, well structured and nationally rooted party capable of articulating clear solutions to the challenges facing Kenyans,” read part of a party’s statement released after the National Executive Council meeting chaired by Party leader Uhuru Kenyatta.

The party said it remained committed to unity, social justice and economy recovery and leadership that listens to citizens, respects institutions and delivers practical outcomes, not excuses.
