#Trending: The back’s the new front as backless babes bare it all

Date:

SCORCHING summer sizzler backless dresses are taking over, leaving very little to the imagination.

The barely-there trend sees glam girls ditching fabric for a daring exposed back, with cuts plunging right down to the waist.

These jaw-dropping numbers are the must-have look for festivals, holidays and big nights out. From high-street bargains to designer frocks, shops are packed with bare-all glam.

So why is everyone baring their back?

Fashion experts say it’s the perfect lockdown rebound style. After years covered up, women are desperate to feel sexy and celebrate their bodies.

“It’s a confident, head-turning look,” says style guru Lila Clarke. “It shows skin in a chic way, without being OTT. You feel fabulous in it.”

Celeb A-listers are also to blame. Supermodels like Kendall Jenner and actresses like Zendaya have been spotted rocking the look on red carpets, sending fans into a frenzy.

The trend really exploded after style icon Dua Lipa wore a stunning black backless gown to the Barbie premiere last summer. Overnight, searches for “backless dresses” skyrocketed by 300%.

TikTok and Instagram are now flooded with #backlesshaul videos, with thousands of young women showing off their daring purchases.

It’s a bold choice, but this summer, if you’ve got it, flaunt it! Just maybe go easy on the fake tan to avoid any streaky disasters.

The back’s the new front, babes!
