KUCCPS reopens KMTC applications for March 2026 Intake

Date:

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has reopened applications for placement into diploma and certificate programmes offered at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for the March 2026 intake.

The placement agency announced that the window targets Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) holders who were not successfully placed at KMTC, including those who applied during the January 2026 cycle but did not secure slots.

The move offers a second chance to thousands of students seeking admission into medical training programmes across KMTC campuses countrywide. KMTC remains one of Kenya’s leading public institutions for training healthcare professionals, offering courses in nursing, clinical medicine, pharmacy, medical laboratory sciences, public health and other allied health fields.

According to the notice, applicants are encouraged to review available programmes and minimum entry requirements before submitting their applications through the KUCCPS portal.

How to apply

Interested candidates are required to submit their applications online through the KUCCPS Student’s Portal. The process begins by visiting the official KUCCPS website at www.kuccps.ac.ke.

Applicants should click on the Student’s Portal tab in the menu section, log in using their credentials, and navigate to the KMTC programmes section. After reviewing the available courses, candidates should select their preferred programme, click on the application tab, and follow the instructions provided in the portal to complete the submission process.

KUCCPS has advised applicants to ensure that all details entered are accurate and that they meet the specified minimum subject requirements for their chosen programmes.

Application deadline and support

The deadline for submission of applications is March 13, 2026. Prospective students are urged to apply early to avoid last-minute technical challenges.

Details of available programmes, cluster requirements and campus locations can be accessed directly on the KUCCPS portal.

For further assistance, applicants may contact KUCCPS through the official helplines 020 5137400 or 0713 924444, or via email at info@kuccps.ac.ke.

The reopening of the application window is expected to increase access to medical training opportunities ahead of the March 2026 intake, supporting Kenya’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its healthcare workforce.
