Residents and businesses in parts of Nyamira County should prepare for a full-day power interruption on Saturday, March 14, 2026, as Kenya Power carries out planned maintenance on its electricity network.
According to the utility company, the scheduled maintenance will affect areas within Nyamira Town and Rang’enyo from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The affected locations include Nyamira Town, Nyamira Hospital, Kinara Hospital, Rang’enyo, Nyamaiya Market, Bonyunyu and Miruka Market, as well as nearby customers connected to the same power line.
Kenya Power said the maintenance works are necessary to allow technicians to service the network and improve electricity reliability in the affected areas.
Customers have been advised to plan ahead and treat all power lines as live during the maintenance period.
Electricity supply is expected to be restored once the maintenance work is completed.
