As IShowSpeed embarks on his next destination, the impact of his aerial tour of Nairobi will be felt for a long time, especially for Talanta Stadium.Ranked among the top social media influencers in the world with about 50 million subscribers on YouTube, IShowSpeed beamed Talanta Stadium live on his channels, offering his followers across the globe a glimpse of what to expect once it is opened.

Whether it was by design or coincidence, the idea to fly over the 60,000-seat stadium, which is nearing completion, was a marketing masterstroke, an act of a genius. As the helicopter flew past the stadium located along Ngong Road, the 21-year-old celebrity boldly expressed his excitement, motioning his aides to have a look at the magnificent stadium whose construction is expected to be completed in a few weeks.

“Oh, here is the national stadium, it is amazing. It is not even done? Oh, Talanta Stadium?” he said, offering football fans across the globe an aerial view of one of the continent’s largest stadiums.

A flagship project of President Ruto, Talanta Stadium is scheduled to host the 2027 African Cup of Nations (AFCON), which Kenya is co-hosting with Uganda and Tanzania. Recently, President Ruto outlined his vision to invest in sports by expanding infrastructure and nurturing talents.

“We are investing in sports and talent development so that our youth can monetise their skills and expertise,” the President said recently.

He added that the ongoing upgrading of our facilities will turn Kenya into a global sports powerhouse and make the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations a memorable event. At the same time, Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano said the IShowSpeed tour had given the nation a big platform to showcase their rich tourism sites, beautiful culture and heritage.

“Magical Kenya shines as IShowSpeed tours Africa, turning our story into a real-time experience,” CS Miano said, adding: “He is reshaping Kenya’s image from a safari hub to a melting pot of cultures, vibrant cities, great cuisine, amazing people and adventure. Indeed, we are the Origin of Wonder.”

“Talanta Stadium is fast becoming a defining landmark for Nairobi and a powerful catalyst for Kenya’s sports tourism,” Chepkemei said.

“Through IShowSpeed’s visit, we showcased Kenya as we know and live, our speed to progress and sustainability, our ambition, our wins, telling the authentic Kenyan story to the world.”

She said Kenya’s global appeal is now expanding beyond safaris and beaches to include vibrant cities, rich culture and bold urban experiences.

“Visitors are experiencing a new Kenya: dynamic, progressive, confident, inclusive, and full of possibility, a first-world Kenya in the making,” she emphasised.

The 21-year-old internet sensation visited the animal orphanage at Nairobi National Park, toured the city from the KICC rooftop in a helicopter, and later travelled to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. His livestreams drew millions of viewers worldwide and generated intense online engagement.During a live broadcast, IShowSpeed praised Kenya as his top destination, describing the past 24 hours as unforgettable.
