Kenya’s Ministry of Agriculture opens job vacancies for regional officers and other positions

The Ministry of Agriculture has invited applications from Kenyan professionals to fill regional vacancies in Kisumu and Eldoret.

The successful candidates will be engaged under the Integrated Natural Resources Management Programme, a government initiative funded in partnership with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

According to the ministry, the recruitment aims to strengthen food, nutrition, and financial security for rural households while promoting climate-resilient and sustainable agricultural practices.

Where the jobs are

The vacancies are based in two main units: the Regional Programme Coordination and Management Unit (RPCMU) in Kisumu and the National Programme Coordination and Management Unit (PCMU) in Eldoret.

The programme will operate across 10 counties within the Lake Victoria Basin, Mau West, and Cherangany, areas identified as critical water catchment zones for Kenya.

In Eldoret, the ministry is seeking:

  • Knowledge Management and Communications Officer – 1 position
