Governor Cecily Mbarire today presided over the official swearing-in of Mr. John Mugo Kigoro Njagi as the County Executive Committee Member for Water, Irrigation, Environment, Climate Change, and Natural Resources, reinforcing the County Governmentโ€™s commitment to sustainable development and climate-responsive governance.

The appointment underscores Governor Mbarireโ€™s continued focus on building a results-driven executive team capable of delivering on Embu Countyโ€™s development priorities. Under her leadership, the water and environment docket remains central to the countyโ€™s agenda, given its direct impact on public health, food security, climate resilience, and livelihoods.

Governor Mbarire expressed confidence that Mr. Kigoro Njagi brings the leadership, technical insight, and strategic focus required to accelerate access to clean and reliable water, expand irrigation to support agriculture, strengthen climate adaptation measures, and deepen environmental conservation across the county.
