Kenya Power announces planned power outages in multiple regions on Wednesday

Kenya Power has announced scheduled electricity interruptions across several parts of the country on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, to allow for routine network maintenance and system upgrades.

The outages will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in affected areas.

Nairobi Region

Part of Waiyaki Way Road
Areas affected include ABC Place, Total Energies Waiyaki Way, White House, parts of Manyani East and West, Deloitte, Safaricom House, ABSA Bank, Aga Khan Primary School, Kabete Barracks, KALRO Institute, Delta and surrounding customers.

Dandora Phase 1
Dandora Phase 1 and adjacent areas will experience power interruption.

Part of Parklands
Affected areas include 4th Parklands, parts of 5th Parklands, Kusi Lane, parts of Masari Road, Presidential Escort Estate, Ismailia Flats, Diamond Plaza 1 and 2, Sky Mall Flat, Highridge Kenya Power Staff Quarters and nearby customers.

South Nyanza Region

Ikerege and Getonganya
Ikerege Market, Kiamokebe, Getonganya, parts of Isibania, Gwigonge and surrounding areas will be affected.

Mt. Kenya Region

Kagumo High, Kirichu
Areas include Kagumo High School, Kirichu Market, Ndurutu, Kiganjo East, Kiganjo Sewage, Gachika High School, Kang’ong’a, Ndathi-Ini, Wangi Water, Rosa and adjacent customers.

Sagana State Lodge
Sagana State Lodge, Iruri Market, Kiganjo Fisheries, Karandi Market, Mutaga Market, Sagana Village, Iganjo Village, Lela Academy, Kiahuru, Ndundu-Ini Primary School, Kagaa, Chieni, Mikundi, Safaricom and Airtel booster stations will be affected.

Coast Region

Samburu Town, Silaloni
Samburu Town, Kinagoni, Vigurungani, Silaloni and nearby areas.

Ganda Market and Kakuyuni Market
Ganda Market, Sunpark Malindi, Mangani, Doshi, Kakuyuni Market and surrounding customers.

Kenya Power says the planned interruptions are necessary to enhance service reliability and minimise unplanned outages in the future. Customers are advised to plan accordingly and treat all power lines as live during the maintenance period.
