Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is confident that the newfound partnership between the United Democratic Alliance Party and Orange Democratic Movement Party will be of importance in forging Kenya’s unity.

Kindiki said that he is in full support of the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report that was agreed upon between the government and the Orange Democratic Movement through its former party leader, the late Raila Odinga.
Speaking at a NYOTA fund disbursement programme event in Kisumu on Monday, February 2, 2026, Kindiki has hailed the working between the government and the Orange Democratic Movement under the broad-based government.
“President Ruto, we appreciate how you are continuing to unite our country, Kenya, and you have brought our brothers in ODM. We are stronger together. We were in Kenya Kwanza, we were in UDA, but with the ODM family, the country is stronger and stable, and as you look forward to the implementation of the 10-point agenda that we agreed with the late Raila Odinga, including the NADCO report, we want to assure you that we are fully behind you,” Kindiki said.
Establishment of NADCO report
The National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) was a negotiated document that was aimed at pulling the country out of hostilities and into peace after the 2022 general elections, which were disputed by the former ODM party leader, the late Raila Odinga, and his Azimio la Umoja brigade, challenging the win of President Ruto.
The NADCO Report that Kindiki was reffering to was formed after President William Ruto and Opposition Leader Raila Odinga accepted to have talks after bloody protests between March and July 2023.
The recommendations of the report centred around the creation of the office of the Leader of the Opposition and the office of the Prime Minister through a constitutional amendment.
Anothe key recommendation was the expansion of the selection panel of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to nine.
The report also recommended the formalisation of the National Constituency Development Fund and a similar fund for senators and women representatives for affirmative action purposes, despite the Supreme Court’s finding that the NG-CDF is unconstitutional because it entangles members of legislative bodies and legislative bodies in the service delivery mandate, however symbolic.
Ruto and the former ODM leader, the late Raila Odinga, signed a landmark political pact centred on a 10-point agenda aimed at fostering national unity and addressing long-standing governance challenges.
The agreement, which came after days of political rivalry, was meant to implement the recommendations of the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report, including the creation of the Office of the Official Opposition Leader and the reinstatement of the Prime Minister’s position.
