Laikipia university announces 14 job vacancies across multiple departments

Laikipia University has invited applications from qualified professionals to fill 14 vacant positions across various departments at the institution.

In a notice issued by the Office of the Registrar Administration and Human Capital, the university said it is seeking competent and experienced individuals for positions in administration, ICT, procurement, transport, research, and academic departments.

The institution noted that the recruitment drive is part of efforts to strengthen service delivery, research, innovation, and academic excellence.

Positions Available

Among the advertised positions are Fleet Driver, ICT Officer, Senior Procurement Officer, Technologist, Lecturer, and Senior Lecturer roles.

The vacancies are spread across several schools and departments, including the School of Education, School of Science and Applied Technology, School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and the School of Humanities and Development Studies.

  • Networking
  • Supplies Management
  • Educational Technology
  • GIS Technology
  • Agricultural Economics
  • Agricultural Engineering
  • Horticulture
  • Animal Production
  • History
  • Religion

The university stated that some positions will be offered on permanent and pensionable terms, while others will be on fixed-term contracts ranging from two to five years.

Application Requirements

Laikipia University advised interested applicants to access detailed qualifications and job requirements through its official website.

Applicants are required to submit five hard copies of their applications addressed to the Registrar Administration and Human Capital at the university’s main campus in Nyahururu.

In addition, candidates must send a soft copy of the application package through the university recruitment email.

The institution also noted that shortlisted candidates will be required to present clearance certificates from agencies including KRA, HELB, EACC, DCI, and CRB.

Deadline for Applications

The university said all applications must be submitted by Tuesday, June 9, 2026, and late applications will not be considered.

Laikipia University further encouraged persons living with disabilities and applicants from marginalized areas to apply, noting that it is an equal opportunity employer.
