The Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) has announced a recruitment drive for administrative staff and scholarship positions across several departments, inviting qualified candidates to apply before August 18, 2026.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, the university said it is recruiting personnel in healthcare, information and communication technology (ICT), transport services, as well as offering scholarship opportunities for graduate assistants, technicians and technologists in engineering and technology disciplines.
Administrative vacancies announced
Among the positions advertised are three Clinical Officer III posts, four Nursing Officer III vacancies, one Medical Laboratory Technologist II, one Medical Laboratory Technologist III, and one Pharmaceutical Technologist III position.
The university is also recruiting ICT Officer I (Software Developer), ICT Officer I (Database Administrator), two ICT Officer III (ICT Technician) positions and two Driver II vacancies.

Scholarship opportunities available
The university has also opened scholarship opportunities under the Graduate Assistants and Technicians and Technologists categories.
Graduate assistant positions are available in several engineering and technology fields, including Power System Switchgear and Protection, Measurement, Instrumentation and Control, High Voltage, Electronics, Telecommunications, Communication and Transmission, Mechatronics, Electrical Machines and ICT, with three scholarship opportunities available in the ICT field.
Under the Technicians and Technologists category, scholarships are available in Renewable Energy and Smart Grid, High Voltage, Electrical Machines, Electronics, Telecommunications, Communication and Transmission, Mechatronics, ICT/IT and Electrical Machines and Power Systems.
Applications close on August 18
The university said all applications must be submitted by 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
MUST emphasized that it does not charge any fee at any stage of the recruitment process, including applications, shortlisting, interviews or appointment.
The institution also reaffirmed its commitment to equal employment opportunities, encouraging women, persons living with disabilities and applicants from marginalized communities to apply.
PSC advertises internship opportunities
Separately, the Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced recruitment for the 2026/27 Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) under Cohort Nine.
The commission said eligible applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, have graduated in 2020 or later, demonstrate computer proficiency and must not have previously participated in a similar government internship programme.
Successful interns will be deployed to government ministries, state departments, agencies, public corporations and public universities for a 12-month non-renewable internship, during which they will receive a government stipend and a certificate upon successful completion.
PSC said applications for the internship programme should be submitted through its online recruitment portal by August 17, 2026.
