Jirongo’s Successor Passes Away
Former Lugari MP Enoch Kibunguchy has passed away following following a prolonged battle with illness.
The legislator who was receiving treatment and hospital in Eldoret served as Member of Parliament from 2003-2007 after succeeding the late Cyrus Jirongo and went on to serve as Likuyani MP from 2013 to 2022.
The 72-year-old also served as an Assistant Director of Medical Services at the Ministry of Health and had recently joined Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K)

Even before we lay to rest CJ, his successor in the 2002 general election Dr. Enoch Wamalwa Kibunguchy has rested. He would later serve the people of the newly created Likuyani Constituency for two consecutive terms (2013-2022). Sad day for the people of Lugari. Sad month for the people of Lugari. Sad year for the people of Lugari. Lugari has lost. Go well Mheshimiwa”
Jackie Maribe’s Father Passes Away

Former Citizen TV journalist Jackie Maribe announced on Instagram the passing away of her father Mr Mwangi Maribe. In a post she wrote “Sasa what do I tell a man like you? I don’t know how I’ll live without you dad, but I know you’re not in pain”.
Mwangi Maribe, has been praised as a father who stood unwaveringly by his daughter during her high-profile 2018 murder trial and 2024 acquittal.
He passed away on December 23, 2025.

Nigerian Artist Asake Mourns Kenyan Girl Killed in Nyayo Stampede During Asake Concert
Nigerian Artist Asake has released a statement following the death of Karen Lojore during a stampede at the Asake Concert held at Nyayo Stadium on December 20.
Karen was a student in the School of Science, Engineering, & Health, pursuing a BSc in Applied Computer Science at Daystar University.
