Kenya Power has announced a planned power interruption affecting parts of West Pokot County as part of routine network maintenance.

According to the utility firm, the outage will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

The maintenance will affect customers in and around Kacheliba Hospital, Konyao, Chelopoy and Alale.

Areas scheduled to experience the interruption include Kacheliba, Orolwo, Lokichar, Timale, Kodich, Konyao, Kodera, Kasei, Kiwawa, Chelopoy, Alale, and adjacent customers.

Kenya Power said the planned outage is necessary to allow technicians to carry out essential maintenance works aimed at improving reliability and service delivery in the region.
