PSC, Kenya Railways announce new job opportunities

Date:

The Public Service Commission (PSC), Kenya Railways and the Office of the Attorney General have announced several job opportunities for qualified Kenyans.

The vacancies were announced through separate notices issued on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, covering positions at the PSC, National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF), the Attorney General’s office and Kenya Railways.

PSC advertises two positions

The Public Service Commission has advertised vacancies for one Data Commissioner and four members of the NG-CDF Board of Directors.

The commission said details on the positions, qualifications and application procedures are available through its official website.

PSC also warned job seekers against fraudsters who may attempt to solicit money by claiming they can influence the recruitment process.

“Public Service Commission does not charge any fee for job applications, shortlisting, interviews or appointments,” the commission said.

Applicants have been advised to rely only on official PSC communication when applying for the advertised positions.

Attorney General’s office advertises vacancies

The Office of the Attorney General has also advertised vacancies for a Chairperson and four members of its Audit Committee.

Applicants who meet the requirements are required to submit their applications together with a detailed curriculum vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates, identification documents and relevant testimonials.

Applications should be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly indicating whether the applicant is applying for the position of Chairperson or Member of the Audit Committee.

Applications may be delivered to the Office of the Attorney General at CBK Pension Towers, 20th Floor, Harambee Avenue, Nairobi, during working hours.

The deadline for applications is September 7, 2026, at 5pm.

Kenya Railways re-advertises vacancies

Kenya Railways has also re-advertised vacancies for Quality Assurance and Risk Coordination Manager and Signaling, Electrical and Communications Manager.

The corporation said qualified candidates should submit their applications through the job link provided on the Kenya Railways website.

Applicants have been instructed to clearly indicate the position applied for and the vacancy reference number in the subject line of their applications.

Kenya Railways said a detailed guide on the application process is available on its official website.

Successful candidates will receive a competitive remuneration package in line with the corporation’s employment guidelines.

The deadline for the Kenya Railways positions is September 14, 2026, at 5pm.

Applicants warned against job scams

The latest vacancies come as government agencies continue to recruit for various positions despite ongoing efforts to control public expenditure.

Job seekers have been urged to carefully verify recruitment notices and avoid individuals who demand money in exchange for applications, shortlisting or employment.

Applicants should use the official websites and authorised communication channels of the respective institutions when seeking more information or submitting applications.
