51 positions up for grabs at Insurance Regulatory Authority

The Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA)- an agency mandated with regulating, supervising, and developing Kenya’s insurance sector, has advertised 51 job openings to strengthen its workforce across various departments.

These roles span from senior leadership to mid-level technical and support positions.

The recruitment drive seeks to expand IRA’s capacity to oversee insurance sector performance, compliance, public engagement, and internal support functions.

The advertised positions include:

Senior & Mid‑Level Professional Positions

Assistant Director, Supervision (Prudential & Licensing)- 3 posts
Assistant Director, Cybersecurity Supervision- 2 posts
Assistant Director, Finance- 1 post
Assistant Director, ICT- 1 post
Assistant Director, Human Resources- 1 post
Principal Supervision Officer (Prudential & Licensing / Anti-Money Laundering)- 4 posts
Principal Cybersecurity Officer- 2 posts
Senior Legal Officer- 2 posts
Senior Corporate Communication & Public Relations Officer- 1 post
Senior Customer Care Assistant- 1 post

Technical & Operational Positions

Supervision Officers (Prudential, Anti‑Money Laundering, Conduct)
Cybersecurity Officers
Legal Officers (Governance & Legal Services)
Corporate Communications Officer
Security Officer
Customer Care Assistants (various levels)
Records Assistants (various levels)

Besides meeting education and professional criteria for the respective posts, IRA said “the candidates must also comply with Chapter 6 of the Constitution by submitting mandatory compliance and clearance certificates from the relevant entities”.

The applications should be made online via the ira.go.ke website-careers section and not submitted later than February 16, 2026.
