Applicants must also demonstrate willingness to complete training at any of the participating institutions and be able to read and write in either English or Kiswahili.
In addition, beneficiaries are expected to attend all training sessions, including industrial attachments and workplace placements that form part of the programme.
The opportunities are specifically targeting business owners, apprentices, and individuals seeking to acquire technical skills to improve their economic prospects.
Interview Process and Required Documents
The foundation has advised applicants to complete their application forms accurately and ensure all required information is provided before submission.
Candidates who progress to the interview stage will be required to present original copies of their National Identity Cards and certificates showing their highest level of education attained.
KCB Foundation warned that failure to produce the required documents during interviews will result in automatic disqualification.
The foundation noted that a competitive selection process will be used to identify successful candidates.
Focus on Skills Development and Employment Creation
The scholarship programme is part of KCB Foundation’s ongoing investment in youth empowerment through technical and vocational education.
By partnering with vocational training institutions and county governments, the foundation aims to increase access to employable skills and support the growth of small businesses across the country.
Officials said all applicants will be treated fairly regardless of gender, disability, religion, ethnicity, or geographical location.
The foundation further emphasized its commitment to protecting vulnerable individuals and ensuring all personal information collected during the application process is handled in accordance with Kenya’s Data Protection Act and other applicable privacy regulations.
As demand for technical skills continues to grow across multiple sectors of the economy, the programme is expected to provide a pathway for hundreds of young people to access training, employment opportunities, and entrepreneurship support.
