Kenya Power announces outages in five counties on 24th June

Kenya Power has announced planned electricity interruptions in five counties on Wednesday, June 24, to facilitate routine maintenance and network improvement works.

Kwale County

According to the utility company, the scheduled outages will affect selected areas in Kwale, Nandi, Laikipia, Nyeri, and Tharaka Nithi counties, with power expected to be restored once maintenance activities are completed.

Residents and businesses in parts of Diani will experience power interruptions from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Nandi County

Customers in parts of Kemeloi and Serem will be without electricity from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Laikipia County

Power supply will be interrupted in parts of Mureru and Bantu Lodge from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Kenya Power has advised customers in the affected areas to plan accordingly and treat all power lines as live during the maintenance period, as electricity may be restored earlier than the scheduled time once works are completed.
