President Ruto reappoints Faith Boinett as chairperson of Kenya Pipeline Board

President William Ruto has reappointed Faith Boinett as Non-Executive Chairperson of Kenya Pipeline Limited Board of Directors.

The reappointment that offers her a new three years term effective December 23, 2025 was made vide a December 19 gazette notice.

Kenya Pipeline Corporation is one of the country’s strategic state corporations responsible for the storage and transportation of petroleum products.

Faith, a lawyer by profession with more than 20 years of experience working across both public and private sectors in Kenya, was first appointed to the executive role in December 2022, replacing Rita Okuthe.

Her expertise is in legal risk and compliance, governance, public financial management, human resources, and strategic partnerships in the public sector.

She is also a member of FIDA Kenya and is widely regarded as a champion for women’s rights and the rights of disadvantaged groups in Kenya.

OTHER APPOINTMENTS

Clara Samiji Momanyi, a Professor of Kiswahili and literature, has replaced Dr Ben Chumo as the Non-Executive Chairperson of Kenyatta University Governing Council.

An official notice by Education CS Migos Ogamba shows Prof Samiji will serve in the position for next three years, effective December 19, 2025.

Dr Chumo resigned from the position last month citing matters of principle regarding governance and the integrity of the vice-chancellor recruitment process.

He formerly served as the Managing Director & CEO of Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC).
