How to check your KPLC bill

Kenya Power customers can now check their electricity bills instantly using self-service platforms without visiting a customer care office.

KPLC has made it easier for postpaid customers to access their latest bill balances through USSD codes, SMS services, the MyPower App and the online self-service portal.

The digital platforms are designed to help customers monitor electricity usage, avoid bill shocks and make payments on time.

Check Your KPLC Bill Using *977#

The fastest and most convenient method is through the KPLC USSD code *977#.

To check your bill:

  1. Dial *977# on your mobile phone.
  2. Select Option 2 — Postpaid Services.
  3. Select My Bill.
  4. Enter your account number.
  5. Your current bill balance and due date will appear instantly on your screen.

The service works on all mobile phones and does not require internet access.

How to Check KPLC Bill via SMS

Customers can also retrieve their bill details through SMS.

There are two options:

  • Send your KPLC account number via SMS to 97771.
  • Alternatively, type KPLC followed by your account number and send it to 95551.

Example:
KPLC 123456789

You will receive an SMS showing your outstanding balance and account details.

Using the MyPower App

For smartphone users, the MyPower App offers instant access to electricity bills and account information.

To check your bill:

  1. Open the MyPower App.
  2. Tap on My Bill/Token.
  3. Enter your account number.
  4. Your latest bill balance will be displayed immediately.

The app also allows customers to monitor token purchases, submit meter readings and access other KPLC services.

Check Bill Online

Customers can also use the Kenya Power Self-Service Portal online.

Steps:

  1. Visit the KPLC Self-Service portal.
  2. Select Bill/Meter Search.
  3. Enter your account number.
  4. View your current electricity bill and account status.

The online platform also provides access to billing history and additional account services.
