JSC advertises 221 job vacancies, opens applications

Date:

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has announced 221 job opportunities across various tribunals and internship programmes, inviting qualified Kenyans to submit applications before the August 13 deadline.

In a public notice issued on Friday, the Commission said the vacancies are aimed at strengthening the administration of justice while providing employment and professional development opportunities.

“The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is a Constitutional Commission established under Article 171 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, to promote and facilitate the independence and accountability of the Judiciary and the efficient, effective and transparent administration of justice,” the Commission said.

Tribunal leadership positions available

Among the advertised vacancies are the positions of Chairperson of the Sports Disputes Tribunal, Chairperson of the Capital Markets Tribunal and Deputy Chairperson of the Co-operative Tribunal.

JSC is also seeking to appoint members to several tribunals, including the Sports Disputes Tribunal, Capital Markets Tribunal, Energy and Petroleum Tribunal, Financial Centre Tribunal, Tax Appeals Tribunal, National Examinations Appeals Tribunal, HIV and AIDS Tribunal, and the Public Private Partnerships Petition Committee.

Internship opportunities

In addition to the tribunal appointments, the Commission has advertised 201 internship positions for graduate and diploma holders.

The internship programme is intended to equip young professionals with practical experience within the Judiciary while supporting service delivery across its institutions.

How to apply

Interested applicants have been directed to submit their applications through the official JSC jobs portal.

The Commission said only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and warned that any form of canvassing will result in automatic disqualification.

“The Judicial Service Commission is an Equal Opportunity Employer and selects candidates on merit through fair and open competition from the widest range of eligible candidates,” the Commission said.

Applications must be submitted no later than August 13, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

The latest recruitment follows another hiring exercise earlier this year, when JSC advertised 33 vacancies for tribunal leadership, management and technical positions.
