The Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) has announced a fresh round of job opportunities targeting both graduates and experienced professionals across various fields.
In a notice published in the government’s MyGov newspaper on May 5, the commission invited qualified candidates to apply for several positions through its official e-recruitment portal.
SRC said the recruitment aims to attract competent and skilled individuals to strengthen its workforce and enhance service delivery.
“The commission seeks to recruit qualified and competent staff to fill the following vacant positions,” the notice stated.
Positions available
Among the roles advertised is the position of Executive Secretary at job grade RL 5, alongside Principal Officer (Collective Bargaining Negotiation) at job grade RL 4.
Other vacancies include Human Resource Assistant and Supply Chain Management Assistant, both at job grade RL 7.
The commission noted that detailed job descriptions and requirements are available on its official website under the careers section.
Application process and deadline
Interested applicants have been instructed to submit their academic and professional certificates through the SRC online recruitment portal.
SRC cautioned that only online applications will be accepted, warning that hard copy submissions or email applications will not be considered.
All applications must be submitted on or before Monday, May 18, 2026.
Guidance for Job Seekers
Career development experts have advised applicants to approach the process strategically. While canvassing remains prohibited in public service recruitment, candidates are encouraged to seek guidance from mentors or professionals with prior experience in government hiring processes.
Applicants have also been urged to submit their documents early to avoid last-minute technical issues, as government portals often experience heavy traffic close to deadlines.
Broader employment context
The announcement comes at a time when Kenya continues to experience steady job growth, with over 822,000 new jobs created in 2025, according to official data.
However, the majority of these opportunities remain in the informal sector, highlighting the continued demand for stable, formal employment opportunities such as those offered by institutions like SRC.
