Where to register as a voter in Kenya, county by county

Today, Monday 30 March 2026, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) launched a nationwide Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration (ECVR2026) drive. The exercise runs to Tuesday 28 April 2026 and targets new voter registration, transfers and changes of particulars. .

Registration is open to Kenyan citizens aged 18 and above who present a valid National Identity Card or Kenyan passport.

The ECVR2026 exercise will be conducted at County Assembly Wards (CAWs) on a rotational basis according to approved kit movement schedules. Registration will also take place at Institutions of Higher Learning, Huduma Centres, constituency offices and the Commission’s Customer Experience Center (Ground Floor, Anniversary Towers). The IEBC is deploying a minimum of three kits per ward with additional kits where projected targets require them.

Continuous voter registration and revisions will not be undertaken in electoral areas with scheduled by-elections or ongoing election petitions.
